Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport is one of the three major aviation hubs in China. It was founded in the 1930s, and has developed rapidly since August 5, 2004. In the same year, the throughput of passengers exceeded 20 million. In 2010, it was successfully ranked among the top 10 service airports in the world as measured by the ACI (International Airport Association) global airport passenger satisfaction test. In 2017, the number of passenger throughput was 65.8369 million, ranking 13th in the world airport. Compared with the previous year, the number of passengers increased by more than 6 million, an increase of 10.2 percent, and none of the top 13 airports in the world had any passenger traffic. On the passenger increment or growth rate, both are ranked number one.
